DjmUK
I haven't got a mac but in a shop by me I was curious at the startup times. So, I rebooted the computer in the shop (my friend covered me), and it took forever to load up...but I do remember 'Image 1' appearing. Give it 5 minutes, and if you still get nothing then hopefully someone else here will have an answer for you...if not, then if it were me - I would wipe the system and reinstall Mac OS X from scratch. danbalsh
To me it looks like the iMac has been set to "Boot from Network" hence the Network icon, and then the system folder icon (this means it can't find a system folder on the network) Reboot the iMac and hold down the option key after the chime, then select your HardDisk, once in OSX change the Startup Disk back to the HardDrive.
