Zanatar
Does anyone here know of any good NHL 2004 PC web sites, that have alot of information, on how to succesfully run a Dynasty? I love Hockey and always have my entire life. But I have never been much on the business side of hockey (trading, drafts, team managemet). I`m looking for extensive help , to properly run my Dynasty. Such as what is the best way to have the AI settings set too. I want them set, so that it plays as closesly as possible to the real NHL. I have heard that some people have come up with some really good settings that makes it play as close to the real thing as this series has ever seen. Other questions are , when and how to trade? (I know how, game mechanic wise, but I mean more, on how to know what is a good deal to trade). I mean exactly what do people do when trading (not in real life, but in this game instead). Do you just look at your weakest players and look at other teams weekest players and offer them another player of that position that is stronger then what they have, in order for you to be able to get a stonger player in the position you want? ie: I`m team Y and I`m weak in defense. Team X has acecss stong defense, but weak in Left wingers. I can offer one of my mid ranged left wingers for a mid range defenceman that he has , but would improve my overall defense. Is that how people do it? If so, it`s really time consuming. How often should one attempt to do trades? Then there`s the aspect of contracts. I don`t get how this works. I noticed you can offer or update contracts for your players. Is everyone on your roster , have a contract? If they don't , does that mean they are free agents? When you trade with another team, are you only seeing the list of those who are free agents? Man on man, I have so many questions. I could really go on, but I won`t since I don`t know if this is the correct audience to do this. No one here may have a clue about any of this either. Hense back to my orginal question. If anyone knows of a good NHL 2004 PC forum or web site that I can shoot all these questions too, that would be great.
