Tech Support for me local government *unofficially system admin*

Our website (which is currently under provisions to have a nice facelift.

We are working towards getting out of the government and being a seperate company dealing with ISP and telecomunications. High speed internet in the boonies! Plus I'm working on a solo project involving our high speed internet, an internet cafe/computer training center. Both will be in full effect by the middle of next year. :ninja:

Cheers

Assistant Network Administrator at First National Bank of Sioux Falls, SD. I'm currently going to school so its sorta an internship and also a paid job. Pretty cool, networking side is so much more high tech in a bank than a normal network, with encryption and stuff. But i love it.

I work at my uni in the network and comp support as a student assistant. Basically they call me the Guy who helps anyone with a problem. That was my dream job and i got it. I have yet to do something more than that.

I'd like to work where i have people contact, maybe with UN or something like that where i have to help people out. It pays okay, but the emotional pay is much better :)

Question, How can you go from .NET back to VB6....

That had to be tough

yeah, it is... but im getting by. what i'm learning is that things were actually EASIER in vb6... you just did something... you didn't have to set up for it. no namespaces, no confusing stuff, and even i/o tasks are trivial compared to .net.

there is, however, a lot of power lacking... but what do ya do, ya know? :)

Well once you work with it and figure out what is available in all the namespaces, then it isn't bad at all. You have to use VS.NET though....oh man. I could not give up intellisense for anything!

MD for Podiatry, working on my PhD. Also got certified with CompTIA for A+ Hardware/OS so I knew how to configure/ maintain my own system, and for purposes of knowing what the hell everyone in the hardware forum was talking about.
