I am a Field Technician for an ISP here in Houston. I install DSL and T1's for businesses around town. Great job and I learn new stuff everyday!

On the side, I work part time at Olive Garden as a server. Fettucine Alfredo is my favorite! :drool:

i did something similar for about 4 months for a cable company...i was supposed to be installing internet but all i did was tv...and for that...i let the customers have a few freebies...after 4 months and only 5 internet installs i left for a deskjob...all i learned from that job was how many women stay home, how many are lonely, and how many are willing to do just about anything for free tv...and how many people are willing to give you beer for a job well done.

i don't know...i've thought about "trying" to find work, but i'm really not here to do that and the last thing i wanna do is spend 70+ hours (even though the french can only work 35 by law) looking at computer screens or "trainees". i have heard if you don't have a work permit...as i don't...you're pretty much screwed...and even for EU boys and girls i've heard theres nil for IT here...but maybe after january i'll give it a go and see what happens...i do know theres a HUGE black market for cash only services here (*pats wallet) and the best thing is any job i do such as that, i get nearly 5 times what i made hourly in the states which wasn't shameful...only thing is, its not steady but its nice to kill the boredom once in a while or not have to try to find something to go see.

Head of the IT Dept for a Law Firm... it's not the best of jobs I've had, but it's nice. :) Besides that I run my own side business and do IT work for other companies... oh, and you can't forget my other full time job... the AutoPatcher. ;)

@SirEvan - I checked out your site... all I can say is... you're one lucky S.O.B. :p
