Toaster
I've been looking around the net for a space MMORPG to play. I want it to be like Elite, with trading of goods, great looking space graphics, customizable ships and a massive universe to go play in. The two I have found so far are 3rd World which seems to be dead in the water, having not been updated since 2002, and EVE Online which looks sweet but doesn't seem to have any first person roleplay potential.. Has anyone played something like this, or can recommend a game? Toaster Edited December 11, 2003 by Toaster

Mantra Locust
theres also Earth & Beyond. i honestly dont remember much about it as its been so long since ive tried it. This and EVE Online are the only two that i can think of right now Earth & Beyond is horrible. You can't make a game pretty and expect it to be fun just based on that. Ryan Versaw
from the preview of the space expansion for star wars galaxies, it looks to have potential. but its scheduled sometime next year, and likely wont be until fall or later... Dashel
There isn't one. X:O was the only one with potential IMO but after playing X2 I'm not sure how much hope I have for it. Is a genre I'm dying to see done well in a massive multiplayer environment. You might want to give DarkSpace a try. Its a fun game but not a typical MMOG
Riz360
[kinda off topic] Are there any MMORPG that are FREE and have decent graphics not things like runescape or swcombine Edited December 11, 2003 by Lucifer360
lexor
that depends Lucifer, there is http://www.planeshift.it/ but I'm waiting for the next patch, since you can't pretty much do anything in current beta :) it even says so in theri FAQ, says it a 3d chat client so far. but in the next patch they'll add the fighting and monsters in, then it'll be fun. it's fully 3D and looks pretty good. sample pic: http://www.planeshift.it/pix/pics/screens/tavern4.jpg
