Javascript Forum or similar help, Please ?

Question

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of designing my own website and I want to include a forum where someone can post a question and then anyone visiting my site can answer it, It doesn't need to be anything as big as the Neowin forums, just a simple wwwboard.

But here's the downside . . . . .

I'm not sure whether my ISP ( NTL World in the UK ) has CGI-Bin, I tried asking them but there so called tech line was very unhelpful and I think they didn't know what I was talking about, I did a bit of investigation and found that within my web space there is a bin folder but I'm not sure whether it's a CGI-Bin, so to make my life simple, doe's anyone know of a wwwboard which is totally javascript.

Many thanks in advance, any URL's would be appreciated.

Well, you see. Javascript is client side, meaning that

it runs in the computers of the users who visit your

site. What you are asking for is server side, so it has

to be Perl or PHP or whichever language they use.

There is server side javascript, but through the description

that you gave of your isp I doubt that they support it.

So, in my experience, no, its not possible.
