i think the phrase involving pink in that industrie is regestered. like if a made a mcdonalds that sold carpet or anything non food related i could get it registered.

I think they're actually making a difference between the color pink, and "the color PINK".

I think it's capitalized for a reason...it's more of a phrase the company uses than the actual color.

That's my guess anyways.

oh and they make the pink insulation which is like the only identifyable thing about the fiberglass. So ya that makes sense.

Insurektion hit the nail on the head. PINK is a /trademark/ of the Owens Corning corporation. They don't own the colour pink, or PINK, or anything of the sort. A trademark is merely a registered symbol, design or phrase which is used to distinctly identify their product from the competition.

Like Insurektion pointed out - their fibreglass insulation is PINK (the all-caps seems to fit with how shockingly pink the stuff is,) and that's how you can identify it.

(Of course, every single bit of fibreglass insulation I've seen in my life has been shockingly pink - does that mean it's all Owens Corning? Erm, well, I don't have a clue - it wouldn't surprise me though.)

the pink is used more often than the white or yellow or black, it is mid grade, and mid price

white is the best

phospourus free and barely even itchy :D

and for the record, the propink for open blow attics is barely pink, and the super pink for attics is almost red ;)
