Nard
Am I the only one who was left wondering what the hell happend with Team Fortress 2.0? On Sierra's TF site the last update was in like 2001. Did this game go MIA or what? Why did they never release this? What happend? Will Half Life 2 feature a new version of TF? noir
I think Half-Life 2 comes with TF2.0 :) It'd be cool if it did, it was a fun mod. Right know it mostly feels like vaporware, Duke Nukem style.

TwiztedCam
Yeah, I also thought it was coming with HL2, but you have to pay for it?? TFC is a good game, and I know some kickass servers, GirlPower2 anyone? Don't know if it's still up anymore though. GP2 Site

Stunod7
It's a shame they are going to be charging for the best mod ever... :-(
mrmumbles
Last thing i heard about TF2 was summer last year saying how they were going to be ditching the old HL1 engine in favour of a new engine. What with the release of HL2 info I assume thats what they had opted for. Think the subscription thing is quite rude, so you pay however may ?'s or $'s for your game and then have to continually pay to make it enjoyable. They better make it worth the money each month, kinda seems free multiplayer is on the out!: They also need to make Steam a lot faster to if they expect to deliver content through it!!! Ironman273
The whole reason why the people who made TFC made it was to show of their talents and get work. One of the jobs they got was to make TF2. You can't blame them for taking advantage of something a lot of people really like and would probably have no problem paying for. I respect the fact they may want to make money out of it, am pleased for them to do so. If it were me am sure I would want some return. I am not opposed to paying for it, just that I would rather pay one flat fee rather than pay over time. Am sure I will probably end up paying anyway, but a bonus of MOD's in the first place was that they extended the game and its enjoyment for little outlay or for nothing at all.
