Recommended Posts

I get realy realy realy dizzy if i try and sleep when im drunk. Like dizzy it makes me sick to my stomach, but as long as i dont try to sleep im 100% fine. Does anyone know why this is? it realy sucks cause everyone will be passed out and ill have to stay awake.

I have the exact same problem. I hardly ever chuck if I stay awake all night while drinking, but if i go to sleep drunk I usually wake up an hour or so later and puke.

I've seen other people like me, where as others can go to sleep after drinking a bottle and sleep fine. I guess its just your body type :(

Alcohol interferes with the ability of one's brain to enter deeper stages of sleep, which are required for proper rest.

Even people that drink and don't wake during the night do not hit the same deeper stages as would otherwise occur and their sleep is of lower quality.

There is nothing you can do to not have this occur other than not drink. Also, it is not directly related to hangovers, which can be prevented to some degree with proper hydration and the like.

(Caffeine and tobacco can also affect one's sleep by acting as stimulants, but it's not the same thing as what happens with alcohol. You can research more in-depth sleep sites on the web if you want better understanding of how sleep works and how alcohol affects it.)

Where's the fun in that? haha, at my age we drink for the sake of getting drunk.. well i do haha.. and if i eat, takes longer, more stuff.. not good haha.

there are many ways to get around the hangover or just tryin to sleep after a lot of drinking..my friends force themselves to hurl before they go to bed, makes them feel better...i'm a little 'neater'..hehe..i take an advil, drink lots of water, and try to fall asleep (with dizzy head and all) and the next morning my hangover is slight, and i feel a lot better after i take my morning $hit (Y)

by the way, if at your age you 'drink for the sake of getting drunk' and can't drink moderately or responsibly, then i better not see you @ss behind the wheel...that kind of attitude killed my friend in a car crash...and it was the other car that had the drunk driver

Drink a large amount of orange juice before your drunken rampage.

It's probably the last thing you feel like drinking after supper but it will provide a buffer for the massive vitamin depletion that alcohol effects.

Pfft there are too many claimed hangover cures/preventions around, but which ones actually work? And which have people tried and found to be effective?

I hate the day after :x
