Kami-
These particular panels aren't great when it comes to QC, if you get a perfect display then they're great but so many people having issues with backlight bleeds/dead pixels...
+Nexus18 MVC Posted October 24, 2014 MVC Share Posted October 24, 2014 I have the 29um65, which is pretty much the same just newer so possibly improvements in a few areas i.e. performance, however, it also lacks some of the features that the 29EB53 has i.e. better stand, USB ports etc. Personally I love it and think it would be more than ideal for your usage but like Kami- said, the QC is very poor (although that particular model might not have the issues as the bleed issue is down to the design, the chassis is applying too much pressure to the panel), saying that though, quite a few people have bought the 29ub65/29um65 recently and haven't found the bleed to be a problem for them. For more thoughts on the LG 29" 21.9 screen, here is a thread with a lot of feedback: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18614720&page=19 And my own review of the 29um65: https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1222237-lg-29um65-review/#entry596495073
Kierax2016
Well I got it,and I must be one lucky S.O.B, it's bang on perfect, I read about the pixels and bleed after putting the order in. I very nearly cancelled the order!, glad I did not. One question: How can i set the windows taskbar to bottom on my secondary, but left on my new main display? ( running 8.1 Pro 64bit )
+Nexus18 MVC Posted October 24, 2014 MVC Share Posted October 24, 2014 Glad you got a good one! :) Maybe try a program like display fusion for more taskbar tweaks.
