link6155
Hi everyone, A problem I've been having for the past few months is that in Internet explorer, short YouTube videos would force windows to crash after the video finish playing and then I would have to log in again. This happens on both Windows 8 and Windows 10. The bizarre part is that this only happens with videos that are roughly 1 minute or less, anything longer won't have this issue. Anyone for any ideas on what is the culprit here?
+primortal Subscriber² Posted October 27, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted October 27, 2014 No issues for me, at least in Windows 8.1. What browser/app are you using to watch the videos? I'm assuming your video drivers and computer's BIOS are up to date.

+primortal Subscriber² Posted October 27, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted October 27, 2014 Try starting IE in safe mode in case it might be a plug-in issue, Windows Key + R type iexplore -extoff
link6155
Try starting IE in safe mode in case it might be a plug-in issue, Windows Key + R type iexplore -extoff Already tried, and I have no plugins activated. I don't think it's plugin related; this happens when the video ends and where the suggested video grid is suppose to show up.
duoi Veteran Posted October 27, 2014 Veteran Share Posted October 27, 2014 Is it playing in HTML5 or Flash? IE would use the Flash installed in Windows rather than their own (like Pepperflash in Chrome) so that might be the culprit.
zhangm Supervisor Posted October 28, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted October 28, 2014 Try tweaking the hardware acceleration options in the video or in IE itself?
