The game is ****, it runs utterly **** on almost every system.

Its really buggy and its a half-arsed interface !

Please disregard this guys post, lomac has some bugs but its a bloody amazin sim (not game).

Proxy flight sim players don't join 'clans'. We fly in virtual squadrons...!!!!!! I'll thank bf1942 for turning flight sims into a first person shooter.

Go to simhq and read the guides on flying the hog. Please dont treat lomac like a FPS in the sky, it's SOOO much more, and there are better games if you just want to fly and shoot.

edit: you've got me all mad now, calling it a lomac clan. how utterly degrading!!!!!!!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg!!!!!!!!! if I could see you IRL, I'd give you a dam good slap!!!! :)

You do, but if they'd designed it to work perfectly on current machines, graphically it'd have been nothing special at all, even when compaired to the community work on F4. The sim wouldn't have last too long. Instead they've given us a sim with serious room for development (third party dynamic campaigns etc), and graphics that will only get better over the next 3 years as we upgrade. There is nothing saying you have to spend ?300 to play the game on full details. Even on low it blows the competition away, and after all.. it's a FLIGHT SIM. Eye candy comes second place. If that isn't "your bag", then stick to FPS;))

wow those graphics look like ****....land i dont agree eye candy should come second place in a flight sim...at least the water and sky etc and controls should look nice...

heh you seem to forget, flight sims are designed for remotely smart people. Most of you clowns couldn't even take off in the latest incarnations of falcon4 (and thats no joke).

Simplypotatoes : go buy jetfighter4 or something, but stay away from heavyweight sims. Realism will ALWAYS take priority in our community.

(And by realism I mean Flight models, AI, weapons stats etc etc. Jet sims are all about tactics.. where numbers matter and pretty explosions are secondary (heh)).

uhh this game does not have realism, since when is realism blurry jet fighters, fingerpaint quality water, and crashing constently? or if real life is suposed to have so many bugs and look like a 5yr old painted it?

also i doubt people will even BE ABLE to take off and complete missions and have a REALISTIC time when they are crashing or warping through the land(and thats no joke) and falcon 4 is much more popular

I can fly simple engagements on my 1.6gig amd, gf3ti200 (128meg) 512meg RAM, most of the stand alone missions (with no clouds). Thats enough for me until I become more proficient at aspects like managing the F15s radar.

It crawls if you fly campaign missions, but so did Falcon4 when it first came out, and thats now the most successful and popular jet sim in computer history.

You can go to the relevent forums and spot the people who really love it, because we spent hours just racing through the gorgeous vallies, shooting down power pilons and getting excited by the way they collapse and take down adjacent pilons, we challange ourselfs to 1-1 dogfights in different situations, and try had to land on a postage stamp (ruskie carrier).

If you've given up, trust me, you're going to miss out :)

simplypotatoes: please please PLEASE stick to FPS. ;)

i stick to FPS/rpgs because if this is the best flightsims can do well uhh :/ i will never change....because this sim is shiit, and people who play this should be annoyed that your forced to use these crappy sims; why don't you demand better from the developers? I don't know why u argue about how awful this sim is, when you KNOW it could be better, but you tolerate it?

The bugs are well known.

You should talk to the developer and bitch them out and maybe you will get a realistic and good flight sim one of these days...I've always wanted a flightsim which locks view into cockpit and won't let you change.

A game does not need picture perfect graphics to be considered "realistic" unless your definition of realism is based solely on graphics alone. It is a flight simulator. It is realistic because it succeeds in accurately capturing the thrill of flying modern day aircraft while engaging in high speed, aerial combat. Imo the game succeeds nicely.

I just don't feel realism when I'm playing something that doesn't look realistic.

I think it "feels" better then falcon4, but falcon 4 just looks like a more realistic environment.

but this is all my opinion. i got it with high hopes and was let down :(

Most of the flight time in Falcon4 is spent heads down looking at the MFDs and instruments, when I flew in a squad we didn't spend a great deal of time looking out of the windows. Avionics mattered, the graphics really didnt, and that's why we loved F4. Systems management and situational awareness pulled from the multiple systems. As far as I was concerned if I had to pan up and look out of the cockpit I was doing one of 4 things:

1) Taking off

2) Formating and flying in formation

3) Landing

4) Dogfighting

And if (4) had happened, I'd be bl**dy annoyed because I flew SEAD. The last thing a SEAD flight needs is to be held up and miss its TOT, too many people rely on you!

As for your rant about talking to the developers... you've obviously not done any research. The devlopers are being more open, communicative than I've ever seen in my years of simming. Check simhq or ubi's forums, they post literraly every hour answering questions and complaints, I've honest to god never seen such a presence from such 'high ranking' staff. And as a result, you can be sure that the fast approaching first patch will make a world of difference :)

Either way, from your comments I can confidently say you're no great loss! ;) (sorry I just had to get a snide comment in!)
