Wanna know why i dont like LO:mac ok here goes

The game lags at almost any settings.

and I think they put the details the wrong places, Too much into the planes. I mean if you are a real hardcore fligh sim fan i dont think you need the view from the outside that much, and when you got a target in the scope its already shot down before you notice any details. The multiplayer interface and menu is so bad, its really hard to set up for an example a LAN game cus its so hard to learn those menus

( my oppinion ).

And those few games i like ( IL2, OFP ) you can make your own missions, well in OFP you can, but in IL2 you can choose your enemies and freinds and a nice and clean interface, no hard to fig. out menus.

LoL i hate the mainmenu music in LO:mac ! its not music its radio ... noise and chatter wich sounds lame ....

... Oh well, i dont play the game and this is my point of view. Respect it !

OK thats bloody annoying. I posted a reply to exclusive's points and god knows where it went :(

Anyway, the summary was:

LOMAC was designed for the mud movers, the A10 and the Su25, not the Beyond Visual Range style combat you get messed up in with the F15 and Mig/Flankers, which is why most of the detail seems irrelevent when you're at 10,000 feat trying to lock onto a radar blip. At 200ft it makes the world of difference, but hurts the poor CPU. (Yes I know LOMAC is really flanker3, but after Janes canned their A10 sim the boys took up the challange and changed LOMACs direction)

Some of the touches are simply amazing, like the stress cracks on the cockpit, they really give it the extra push, and like I said shoot one power pylon thingy, it collapses in a cool way, then the line goes down and starts pulling other pylons down. Stunning detail!

.I've always wanted a flightsim which locks view into cockpit and won't let you change.

Sorry for double post, but I've just noticed potatomonkey's comment as above.

Virtually every sim that's come out for the past 5 odd years has had a 'no external views' option... which means cockpit only. LOMAC does as well. We demand realism, and the ability to view externally increases situational awareness in an unrealistic way, so when simmers fly online in a squad, they are often turned off.

That really shows how much attention you pay doesn't it!!

heh I actually can't wait to start flying LOMAC online in a squad environment, but my pc isn't happy atm.

My mobo's IDE controller died, so I'm running though my promise ata133 controller, and as the drive isn't 133, it's crawling. Even opening explorer causes winamp to stuter.

And then there's the fact that I'm running 1.6gig, 512meg ram gf3ti200. ie: if I get near any AAA lomac turns into a slide show ;)

Did you say you were getting the x45? I've used the x36 (the previous, almost identical model) for a good few years now, its a bloody nice hotas for the money.

You *really* need a rudder for the A10 straffing runs, so it's well worth it. I

(Add my on MSN and we'll keep in touch).
