Sleeper Veteran Posted January 27, 2002 Veteran Share Posted January 27, 2002 Im running Windows XP Pro and the feature of being able to hide the systray icons has never really worked for me. I mean it works when i set them but as soon as i reboot my pc all the settings are lost. I have tried a re-install and that has done no good any ideas? Thanks
Truman
I found this bug too, with the hide inactive icons turned on or off the icons randomly appeared or disappeared after each boot, as well as the all important battery icon. The only way i found was to turn off the option straight after a clean install and now they all stay. Hopefully they will fix it in SP1 :)
nomis_nehc
it could mean that your personal settings isn't saved correctly. are you turning off your pc correctly? what you might want to try is set your personal notifications, and then log off (not turn off comp) and then log back on. see if that do the trick, if not, i am outta ideas.
