dicchicora
Ok, my father has a laptop that had it's hard drive partitioned. I have no idea how it got partitioned or even why. So, we fdisked that partition d:. My question is how to we get the primary partition c: to recognize the hard disk space we freed by using fdisk on d:. Any help would be great! Thanks! Truman
Fdisk won't be able to merge the free space with c drive to create one big drive, you need to use something like partition magic, or delete all drives with fdisk to create a load of free space and create a new c drive. But remember to back up all your data before you start repartioning.
dicchicora
Thanks! I got a copy of partition magic and it took the free space (unallocated) and put it with the rest of the primary partition. Now there's only one partition and it's the full size of what the hard drive should be. :)
