simple...

Kazaa is mainly used for music and movies = RIAA dont like + no lawsuits at the moment/won against kazaa.

101 warez sites mainly used for music and movies = RIAA dont like + no lawsuits at the moment/won against them

I am basically trying to show you a point of view here with what I consider simple logic regarding our conversation..

I understand why the kazaa lite links were removed.. but do you also understand what the hell my point is here too? lol

Sigh, Warez are illeagle at any view. You still want to post links ? dont do it here, find yourself a warezboard or an FXP board .

Shermen Networks are the ones who sued Klite , with a bull**** claim that they infrigment copyrights and some code issues. AFAIK Klite authors licensed it from Shermen networks, but i could be wrong.

[edit] just saw rivers' post and digitelfreedom's aswell.

@rivers: RIAA doesnt give a **** about warez sites. They fight P2P software period.

@DigitalFreedom: www.kazaa.com << As long as there is a commercial version, it counts .

but kazaa is also free so your logic is also flawed

not as easy sherlock, kazaa is just a sharing program, when you install it the agreement says that they are not responsable of what is shared there, following your logic then hotmail and other mail providers must be closed since a lot of users use it to send cracks to their friends and porn (sometimes even illegal porn).

Warez websites are exclusively for warez and their owners are responsable of the content...

next question?

Interesting...your 'secret site' there has a ripped copy of the Triumph CD... What's your stance again?

not my website, i have root legitimatly to a ton of websites, and a lot of big name ones, just put it in there for a friend who introduced me to this website, i owe him. He's the rich one who owns a ton of servers, not me :(

but it happens that kazaa decided to do something, the day that microsoft decides to sue ad removers, then we are going to forbid those apps, so your reply is flawed again

but kazaa hasn't sued kazaa lite, they have simply banned kazaa lit off there networks, again your logic is also flawed

send cracks to their friends?? well that could include ad-patchers as well then as they are classed as cracks (to most crack sites anyway lol)

which means posting links to those are breaking neowin rules.

as for warez sites... I was making a point although the load of mp3 sites closed might not agree with you lol

Anyway I have made my point and see yours and with that I am off to the chip shop for my tea.. lol happy debating ppl.

Umm.. KaZaA DID Sue kazaa lite, or at least the owners of the KaZaA Media Desktop Application :

"Sharman Networks Limited was founded in January 2002 as a private limited company. Kazaa.com, Kazaa Media Desktop and Kazaa Plus are products of Sharman Networks." --- Taken out of Sharmannetworks.com

and you read this:

#11 Neowin requires that members respect the decision of moderators. Threads and posts questioning the actions or decisions of forum moderations will be deleted on sight, and the appropriate action taken (up to and including forum bans) against the thread starter and/or participants. However, as a member you reserve the right to PM any moderator or administrator regarding action taken at Neowin.

dont like it? I like it

However, I do not believe 2000 websites is a lot to handle.

You got me to post, happy?

I'm not debating the decision of keldyn here, if you would read my post, you would realise I am debating the rules (and lack of clarification thereof) of neowin. A fine and precise line should be laid down regarding such software. Either yes or no. Neowin is starting to remind me of an 'unmetered' broadband service that says you can't download more than a certain amount per month, but won't tell you exactly what that amount is, else it would anger customers.

I feel the only reason Neowin allows MSN6 advert patchers is because the internet finds them socially acceptable.

Besides, #11 is badly worded. We shouldn't be required to respect a mods decision, merley accept it.
