I need some legal help

Mods cmon please give me a chance, I need to be heard...

May 14: I wanted to buy a domain, so I went to active-domains.com(a.k.a. namecheap.com) and buy thematrixrevolutions.net.

May 15: I get an e-mail that my money has been refunded, because the domain I requested (thematrixrevolutions.net) is not for sale.

Yesterday: I run a whois on the domain name, wanting to find out who purchased it... guess what? namecheap.com, the register I tried to purchase it from bought it on May 14th, the same day I tried to buy it...

So I think this is what happened: I sent in the request to buy the domain, they saw what a good domain name it was and bought it themselves and told me that it had already been bought. Now they use the domain for their own company... I need some help here!! Do I have a case in court, could I sue them? Should I write them an e-mail? Any suggestions please?

Why would you even TRY to buy that domain name? All that would happen is that Warner Brothers would shut you down in no time flat. The courts have a past history of siding with existing copyright owners in cases like this.

Go ahead... TRY suing them; there's absolutely NOTHING that says they HAVE to sell you any domain name you ask for. Chances are they don't want to end up being implicated in the suit that Warner Brothers would file against YOU for cyber-squatting if they sold it to you.

DUMB, DUMB, DUMB...

i doubt a domain name co would just swipe a domain bc they thought "hey screw this guy, we'll buy it for is, not him"...

and seriously, if you're preparing to take a company to court over a domain name... you've gotten WAY into the matrix, and i suggest seeing a psychologist.

I find it strange that the company bought it.

WB doesn't own the rights to the word "Matrix", so you could use "EnterMyMatrix" and I don't believe it'd be violating any copyright laws.

WB may not own the word matrix, but they DO own "The Matrix Revolutions"

"The Matrix Revolutions" and "EnterMyMatrix" are very unrelated, based on words alone at least.
