Winamp's New Site

Recommended Posts

the only thing i don't like is it takes a while to read all the id3 tags for my songs and when you have thousands it takes a while

but i guess its worth it b/c i would rather have id3 tags than just the filenames

i thought there was a way to turn off the id3 tags

if you have v5 if you push atl+3 you should be able to unclick id3 tags

Yeah, that's how I edit them all to take them off, but I meant for a way for Winamp to not read them at all...

So, what's new about WA5? I really like version 2, is there any real reason to upgrade?

Here's my WA2 skin, nice and simple and tucked away (Unlike the REALLY OVER BLOATED MediaPlayer9):

Other than support for WA3 skins, I see no real reason to upgrade. Although I did see that WA5 uses less memory, but if you have alot of memory then I guess it doesn't matter.

the WA3 skins is the reason for the bloatness.

then dont use the new skins, btw, overbloatness is 6 mb of use and almost no cpu used?

No kidding, I love how everyone loves to throw that word around so much that it loses all meaning.
