pmcartney
It is no miracle it is Gnome Linux. Pure and simple. Free distros of any other version which does the same is at www.linuxiso.org WHY would anyone pay for what is already free?

Vidar
Its merely another distro of generic linux with Gnome/Evolution/etc pre-installed. Just like how StarOffice (an $80 price tagged product) is merely OpenOffice with butterfly icons. Go get Fedora Core 1 and enjoy.
UKer
Sun Java Desktop isn't targetted at the home user, but at the corporate desktop, while it is only SuSE 8.1 with Ximian Gnome, it's tuned specifically for people in corporate environments with a familiarity with Windows. You get installation support for your money, but unless you only want to do things that you would normally do in an office I'de go with the more workstation/server-oriented SUSE, who also provide installation support, great manuals and all the software on a double sided DVD, or you could go with a more bleeding edge distro if you like new software (like Fedora/Gentoo/Mandrake).
