Why is there no camera feed from the vehicle as it moves further away to the point we see the entire planet?

There will be, if I'm right (someone correct me if I'm not) it's going to coast for a little while to prove something to the Armed Forces, then set off again after a few hours.

Because the Earth is flat.  Or because that's a lot of dataflow that would be pointed at a satellite that's not designed to take incoming data from that direction.

It just seems weird they streamed the launch which had a camera showing the Earth gettign smalled and then abruptly, nothing.

I don't want to say too much in case I dreamt this, but I think S2 is coasting for between 2-6 hours before it sets off? @DocM? @Unobscured Vision?

That actually might be playing a part in this, now that I think about it ....

Anyone know the timeline for commercial flights of Falcon Heavy?

Now that it's been proven to work, they'll be lining up around the blockhouse to book flights on it.

Lost the center core - waiting for details.

The Earth departure burn will happen over Ecuador in a few hours. This is to demonstrate a long coast capability for the DoD.

awesome, absolute awesome. TIme to rewatch.

Already started!  Surprised how quickly the side boosters lit up to get away.  Charred a little bit of the center core.
