Why are there no AMOLED laptops?

Included quote for you to show where I was coming from.  But yes, android issue more than samsung.

Oh no, I meant my response :p

Back on topic, I wonder, how those top notch performance uber expensie laptop (falcon-nw, maingear and oh so over rated alienware) haven't launched limited amoled editions laptops.

wouldn't that be more android-related, than samsung itself...  (very off topic :p )

I'd say its developer related more than anything.  You can background and suspend apps when lock screen shows via coding.

I have a Samsung phone with AMOLED, and my screen has burn in. Its very annoying.

Yeah but which phone do you have?  My old GS 1 suffered from burn-in after a few years.  My GS 4, not so much.  AMOLED burn-in is not nearly as bad as it use to be and they get better with each generation.

That's a hint you use your phone to much...

Also I think OLED is still mostly Pentile based which pretty much sucks.

With 1920x1080/2560x1440 res. @ 4-13" screen, pentile is a non-issue. I think the latest OLED screens aren't pentile anyway, although they aren't full RGB either according to anandtech. IIRC the LG OLED TV isn't pentile based either.

My HTC Incredible with a AMOLED display has burn in as well.. but that phone has since been replaced by two newer phones and I just use it as an alarm clock / mp3 player.  I think the burn in started after about a year and a half. It isn't super obvious, but it would be annoying if I still used it as my primary phone.

Your laptop is also on more than your Phone display too. Think 8hr work day, So I am willing t bet that it's the burn-in issue.

My Moto X, Nexus 6 or OnePlus have never done that. Samsung does change a lot of things so It could be their code causing the issue.
