Administrators Posted March 6, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2015 Hello all, We have made a couple of changes at the top of the staff pile here at Neowin, and so no-one is confused I will outline them here. The default Administrator group was renamed to Founder. A new Administrators group was formed. Barney T. was promoted to the Administrators group, and Daniel F. moved to it. The Administrator and Founder groups have the same ACP permissions, and colors. The Founder/owners now occupy the Founder group, me Marcel (Redmak) and Brad Wardell (Draginol). Barney has been invaluable to us and has mediated several decisions regarding the staff team, and even between the admins.. this made his promotion an easy decision. The Administrators group will remain small, there are no plans to move all Supervisors to it. The Administrators group is what you'd expect, people who are in it can make decisions without the need to clarify it with the owners, but those decisions are ones that don't affect the direction of the site, (such as changing the name, ad buys etc) they are mainly for ban decisions and hiring/firing and that sort of thing. Marcel wanted a distinction between founder/owners and the top level Administrator group, and we all agreed this was a good decision. To clarify the change even further, Daniels position and permissions have not changed, the only change here is the distinction of who owns the site.
