kairon
Isn't it spelled with a "ch" at the beginning?
Ritalin
It's not spelled with that alphabet at all actually :p It's just a matter of pronounciation so both "ch" or "h" work :) it's just closed to Hanukkah (than Chanukkah, the CH doesnt stand for "tshanukkah" if ever you where wondering, it's just a sound that doesnt exist in english). SimplyPotatoes
our neighbors to the right are jewish...and they are eating christmas dinner with us..turkey etc; instead of having their standard dinner. this is the first year as they are usually out of the country for this and back in Israel, infact they get back monday instead of staying...i really need to ask him why he decided not to go with their traditional dinner over at Isrl, oh well i was thinking of having my gf make potato pancakes lol but i dunno that might seem kind of lame..errr oh ya happy hanukkah! Ritalin
lol Im really the least religious jew you could find, my mom is jewish and that's absically the only thing that keeps me jewish :) I eat pork, meat and milk... i dont do shabbat and all that stuff... I just you know... feel like i need to respect my ancestors and bla bla bla... But the one thing i prefer about hanukkah are the "sufganiot"... Basically they are traditional like doughnuts (with no whole in the middle) filled with some kind of sweet thing. They are delicious. I partied yesterday and ended up having the munchies so I ate about 6 of them :) But best of all is that since im in an American School in Israel, well i get both holyday! So im on break now until the 5th of january :) Ritalin
Remote
Woot, Im celebrating. However, the older you get the less gifts you get. I just get a $100 bucks from the parentals. Soon it will be nothing, but its no biggy. Its not really supose to be like christmas. In fact, its not even that big of a jewish holiday.

Makki
THE BEIS HAMIKDASH: THE TEMPLE In the Beis Hamikdash long ago The beautiful Menorah lights would glow With olive oil they burned throughout the night To show to all the Torah way of life. Then once the wicked Yevanim came They broke through walls, they put out the flame And when the Kohanim (priests) finally returned They found no real pure oil left to burn. Just then someone cried out "I found a flask!" For one whole night this little jug will last Then came a miracle, oh so great Instead of just one night, it lasted eight. Just then someone cried out "I found a flask!" For one whole night this little jug will last Then came a ness (miracle) so great We light the candles, come let?s celebrate. by: Rebbe Alter Chag Sameach Happy Chanukkah Neowi:):)

Leo Natan
Say Ritalin, are you bulgarian? Because I am, and I'm not religious too. Heck, I even don't believe in god! Some say it's because I'm bulgarian, and bulgarian jews (Sepharadis) have forgotten the religion along the wanderings.
