KenLin
I'm running suse 9 (oops, I guess it's SuSE 9). Using KDE, it puts some default icons on the desktop that I don't need (Local Network, Printers, Etc) If I try to delete them, I need root priv to do so, but the next time I install a KDE package, suseconfig puts the icons back! Is there a way to just hide them?
markwolfe Veteran Posted December 20, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 20, 2003 Actually, I think it's SUSE now (it used to be SuSE)... But, to get rid of the KDE desktop icons, you can use the KDE Control Center. The option is under Desktop > Behavior. There is a check box for "Enable icons on desktop". Uncheck that. :)
