9/11 The Aftermath

Do you think 9/11 has/will caused any issues that may not be immediately apparent, but could change the way we act as a society, possibly even affecting the way we think/perceive the world around us? Was it a carefully planned event or was it a planned crime?

First of all, I'm not American, so I don't speak english... It will be very difficult to explain what I really want to say. Away from conspiracy theories and only thinking about the 'facts' happened that day and the explanations given days after, is very difficult to think that what happened that day was a terrorist attack. It really looks premade (I mean, premade from the US itself). If what I'm saying (or what I think) is true, is very creepy to think about a goverment capable to made such a atrocity, but if you think again and review the history, turns something very common. Really creepy and sad.

Maybe what I'm posting is a little bit off topic, but is the first time after all these years I can post my opinion about 9/11. The point of view from not american people is important and relevant too. My condolences to all those families.

This probably should go in the Conspiracy Theory section...if you are digging up the whole "US Government did it".  It was a carefully planned crime by Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.

Now, if you are talking about the actual topic "The Aftermath" ... 9/11 obviously did change America especially with regards to air travel.

9/11 has already changed the way American's act as a society. It's made you afraid. So afraid that you give away your freedoms on the false promise of security. So afraid, that in your fear, you went mad and destroyed a country that had nothing to do with what happened to you.  So mad that it has forever scarred your nations psyche with the realisation that you are not untouchable.

And yes, it was a very well planned event/crime, but not by any political scheming of your own nation as conspiracy theorists would have you believe.  The US government is responsible, but only as consequences of its own stupidity, by arming "rebel" groups in the middle east so that they could cause problems for America's enemies in the 70's & 80's.

Put your hand near the mouth of a rabid dog, and it WILL bite it off; it's just a matter of time.

The poster above has pretty much summed it up.

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked,? and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the ?country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Hermann Goering said that in 1946.

A Real American!

9/11 was allegedly caused by Bush himself. However, Muslims were scapegoated. If you do some research you will know. Just think and analyze even little details from the planning till the happening of the event. You would know that without the help of the government itself, it wasn't possible at all.

Anyways, Back to your question: NO society doesn't mind anything about 9/11. If it did, they would have never allowed bush to run in the consecutive term. Ya gettin me? Media has made a fool of Americans. Americans work their asses of every day/ week/ year/ all their life (PAYING TAXES) and all that is being spent for useless pursuits; IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, ISRAEL and all that B.S. I personally do not support terrorism/ their religion. Actually its not Americans' fault. Its bunch of Elite people; Bankers, Billionaires; who control the government. People think that their "VOTING POWER" is so incredible that it bring drastic changes according to their wishes. But fools don't care/ dare to think that they are given a choice every 4 years. A choice of TWO! pre-elected people.... Its like you either take poison or  take pesticide but you gotta take one. You can't choose any other option. Any party elected will work under those elites. They start wars, they control your wages, mortgage, homes, rents and everything.

I have wondered if the combination of technologies such as the LHC(particle physics), Quantum physics and advanced neural networks with an inherent self learning capability could be used somewhere amongst the kaos to actually control/manipulate/divert people either away from a particular notion, or indeed 'to' a complex series of possibly orchestrated events.. Perhaps even in a (psuedo) God/voice sense. If that last sentence has any truth to it then would it be right to believe a 'voice' that is telling somebody to do something that they believe from their heart is not of a good nature or reason. E.G. O B Binladen hears voice from ___ telling him that what he is doing is somehow good? Etc. ?

Not to mention leaders on the other side of the fence possibly also listening in on curious channels. What if it's some rather secret 'invention' altogether for all I know, run by people neutral to the dems, republicans, maybe even in Israel though it would be more secure in some part of the U.S. To have such granular control over people's lives and seeing how schizophrenia and associated illnesses are a modern society happening, I really do feel like it can only cause a worsening situation if it is allowed to continue unchecked/or at all. Ive experienced pain in various situations throughout life and the thought of having something that causes a person to relive that pain seems illogical to say the least and surely would cause a slowly worsening situation over time. To sum it up... I would really not like to think/cringe at the idea that somehow we have created or are in the process of creating something that would take the bible (most notably the content towards the end) and use it against humanity. There is far too much possibility for us to be loving, intelligent, witty and so forth, so long as we remain free, well informed and un-deceived. Have I missed anything :@ lol

Give some facts as to why he should get himself checked? He can form his own opinion and all the best breakthroughs in the world have started with a different opinion or theory... You sound very closed minded with a comment like that.

I know government is run by idiots, but flying planes in their own World Trade Centers and kill thousands of innocent civilians? Come on, I'm literally smiling while typing this. It's just such a ridiculous thought.

First off the claim that Bush caused it has no actual basis in reality. Anyone can make a claim, there isn't actual evidence to support the Bush had anything to do with 9/11. Second, the act of hijacking is far from new when 9/11 came about and in terms of complexity, hijacking itself is actually pretty simple, or at least it was up til 9/11. After taking over the planes, flying them into the 3 very distinct buildings was a relatively simple task with the basic flying skills the hijackers acquired during their training. So in terms of the actual act itself, no you wouldn't need gov support to pull it off.

Your issue comes from the fact you think the "government" are the people you see in Congress and the Senate and getting all the headlines for being idiots.

There are many many more people who are unelected (like that matters) behind the scenes who have more power and influence and have the benefit of being either unknown or being not cared about etc.. who would be able to carry out such actions.

If your main argument is centered around "its ridiculous therefore it could never happen that way" is nonsense - things dont have to make sense for them to have taken place. I would love to know where that idea (that things have to make sense) comes from as its utterly wrong.

Your other issue will no doubt centre around the fact you think that no "western" government would ever harm its citizens because they are the "good guys" on the world stage. Well there are plenty of facts throughout recent history (20th Century) where the US government carried out experiments on its own people to cause harm and suffering - the syphilis experiments come to mind as one of them.

People who want power and to carry out their agendas will do whatever they need in order to achieve it and yes this includes flying planes into buildings and killing almost 3000 people. They know that most people will automatically refuse to accept the government had anything to do with it because we are conditioned from birth that no such action would be possible or make sense or that they are the "good guys" or whatever.

50 years from now (or sooner) I hope the full truth of 9/11 comes out and it isnt the mainstream conspiracy that we have been presented with.

A decade or less ago, the things Snowden revealed were firmly in conspiracy theory land. Actually even the conspiracy theories didnt go as far as the truth which was revealed.

Same for the war crimes and abuses.

So its really funny when people say there's no way our govt could do this. Are you people naive?

What's equally funny is the idea that everything that happens has a conspiracy behind it. Just because there is a conspiracy doesn't mean there actually is a conspiracy. Not believing in one doesn't equate to being naive. It's equally plausible that the 9/11 conspiracy is the actual conspiracy itself and that the events that took place on 9/11 are all that happened.

The events of 9/11 have definitely changed the world. But the idea that the LHC and quantum physics caused O.B.L. to do what he did is...well, I guess this thread is in the conspiracy section for a reason.

I wouldn't call taking drugs in sport unlikely. Especially not when comparing it to the likelyness of a government bombing it's own country and citizens.

Huh?

So you think 9/11 was set up by the government, but you don't think that they have really tapped in to a majority of forms of communication? I'm not sure I follow. Or are you just trying to go against whatever is considered truth?

That was a 2-in-1 shot done by the govt. 1 - Send Osama & his gang to heaven (I think that even Saudi Arabia was involved with the US as Bin Laden was a treat to them as well). 2 - To have a concrete reason to put tighter control on the world (big brother). Thats my opinion.

I really believe that the guy died in Afganistan. He had kidney problems and need to do dialisis everyday. You cant run away to Pakistan from the mountains while carrying the dialisis machine. Well thats one among many other reasons that made me think that the guy who was killed in pakistan was a fake.

The US said that the guy was killed, but that doesn't mean its true... lol.
