Unobscured Vision
I've been playing with it over the past 2 days, and it's a pretty good offering if you like the bleeding edge. There aren't any extras per se like you'd find in a full-blown distro --- instead (as stated earlier) it's a Demo, or Cooker. In regards to it's potential, though, I think MDK 10 is going to really be something special. Performance-wise, it's FAST. Fastest I've ever seen (new kernel does a really good job), and the fonts looks better than ever (if you're using an Antialiased one of course). The OS is more stable then previous offerings. It hasn't crashed or hung at all. The only problem so far is installing stuff. Because it's minimal, it is missing a ton of libraries and things that would be present in a full distro. So for geeks, it's great. Anyone else should probably wait for the Distro release sometime early next year. Screenshots (some minor customization performed, but more or less stock) are here: Screen #1 Screen #2 Screen #3 Screen #4 Screen #5 :) Once we get a full release, It'll be something special.
