VGVL
Is there any way that I could get something like "emerge" or "apt-get" working on SuSE 8.2? I'm sick of dependencies, etc.
neowin_hipster
well, you could always use yast, but not all of those packages are up to date, so what you do is download the rpm, use konqueror to preview the "dependencies" and then download a recent version of those as well. Danrarbc
yum, apt-rpm, or urpmi are what you're looking for. Your best bet is search around on Google for suse repositories for each I mentioned, and then choose the program with the best selection of repositories. neowin_hipster
I didn't find any decent urpmi or YUM but i found an apt site which was fairly good. http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/
