A Real American!
I have the S6 and quite enjoy it. Removable battery and SD card slot? I don't miss either. The battery lasts throughout a full day with > 4 h screen on time for me; as for storage, most of my files are stored in the cloud or (when it comes to music) being streamed. You probably don't use your phone much. or Do you? I Watch Videos/ Youtube, Listen to Music, Play Games, Work with Office apps, Download and Upload Files, Emails, Read Books, Take Pics and Videos, Twitter/ FB etc and my Galaxy S5's 2800mAh battery gives up within 7-8 hours as it reaches below 20% from fully charged in the morning. Whereas you say 2,550mAh lasts "full day". lol
ctebah
I saw a bunch of reports saying Samsung expected to sell 70 million Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. But they never said when they expected to sell that many. This year? Over the next two years? When exactly? Most flagship Galaxy phones remain on sale for over a year. You can still buy a Galaxy S5 today (and a pre-owned Galaxy S4 too) There's quite a bit of difference between selling 70 million in 9 months versus 70 million over 24 months. They did, by the end of this year was the goal.

The point is if 2800mAh batter dies too soon for some people. Then there's no question about 2550mAh battery to go thru the day. Yes, there are external batteries and all that. But we are talking about small battery of GS6 which is too small to last thru day.
HawkMan
you're assuming mAh is all that matters.
Liana
I think Samsung would be better off if they ditched Touchwiz altogether. After owning two Samsung smartphones that received little to no updates and support, I decided to not only avoid Samsung but all carrier-branded phones as well. Best phone decision I ever made. Why should my carrier get to decide what's on my phone and what updates it will get? That's crazy. Why not release a good phone with a MicroSD card slot, removable battery, vanilla android, and let people /choose/ if they want to install Touchwiz? People like options and this would not be expensive to do. I would really like to see Asus, HTC, and LG be more successful in the smartphone market. I'm streaming music via Spotify, read and write emails, use messaging apps (mainly WhatsApp), read e-books, take photos, use the various social media applications etc. And yet the phone lasts a full day on one charge for me. Granted, the latest firmware update did improve things; the original firmware had a slightly worse battery life.
+Frank B. Subscriber² Posted May 28, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted May 28, 2015 Created a poll in the light of some posts lamenting the lack of features in the S6 here: How important are a replaceable battery and expandable storage in a smartphone? Yazoo
Not sure why people are saying the non removable battery and non expandable storage is an issue for not buying it? Why would you need to remove the battery, are Samsung batteries that prone to failure that replacements are regularly required? or drain power far too quick that a spare is required? Storage, how many selfies and food pics do you want to save? We have cloud based storage which negates the necessity to have large storage capacity on handhelds. Let's assume both these attributes exist in the S6, do you think it would have sold more?
Chicane-UK Veteran Posted May 28, 2015 Veteran Share Posted May 28, 2015 I think, for me, it's just the endless cycle of new handsets coming out at increasingly frequent intervals (with old handsets being immediately abandoned by the manufacturers) with ever increasing prices. A 64GB S6 Edge is listed on Expansys at

Some (but probably not many) people need multiple batteries because they won't have access to a charger for days on end or need to remain cord free, and some people like having a "hard" shut off switch for their phones, and pulling the battery is the only way to do that. I don't like could storage for some of my files because it's either a security risk or it's inconvenient. On the other hand, I have a set of files that always stays in the cloud for pure convenience. People like options. I like having the option to share my data in different ways.
