morganpugh84
Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible to play NFSU on the PC Non-Fullscreen, ie in a Window like you can do for most other games? As you can tell from my sig I have a laptop so I have an LCD screen, the problem is that my LCD screen is a very high res (1920x1200) and is also widescreen. This causes a problem because, as you will know, if you run at a resolution lower than the native res of an LCD screen it looks "fuzzy". Now i don't/can't run the game at 1920x1200 res because my graphics card is not powerful enough (is any graphics card powerful enough!? :s ). i want to run it at 1024x768 or something in a Window. How do I do this? Thanks all
+Dick Montage Subscriber² Posted December 23, 2003 Subscriber² Share Posted December 23, 2003 No you can not. And I dispute your "most other games" claim. I believe it is part of DirectX games that they require full-screen to run. Though I would hapilly be proved wrong, seeing as I have just bought a flat-screen too! Yazoo
DX and OpenGL games can be run in a window, just depends on if the coding allows it. You get better speed in full screen, right? NFSU is on the GC as well :| I did not know this.

TruBD
there is a option on the video card settings that stops ur comp from stretching the game to the size of ur resolution
ZeroBS
I have the Toshiba P25-S487 and it has a 17" widescreen. I was able to make a change in the BIOS that just told it not to stretch resolutions. Don't know if Dell has this option but worth a try.
