Elliot B.
The brightness setting is at 100% in Settings but as soon as I remove it from the dock, the brightness still drops around 10%. Any ideas?

Elliot B.
Power save mode enabled? Off is ticked next to Power-Saving Mode, and Screen Brightness is set to 5.
Liana
That's odd. I haven't experienced any brightness drop from taking the gamepad off of the dock.
compl3x
I know what the OP is talking about but "10% drop" is a bit exaggerated. It is a slight change. I think it is just a function of charging from mains power.

deni88
i have never experienced any brightness drop before on the nintendo pad. is it on any energy saving mode???
devn00b
Just checked my daughter's U pad (1st gen, day 1 launch console if that matters any), and pulled it off the dock, There was no noticeable drop in brightness. Asked her if she has ever seen this and she said no. Perhaps a flaw with your gamepad.

I think it is just a function of charging from mains power. That's my thought too. The NDS Lite had a higher brightness level which could only be used when attached to mains. Probably included with the later iterations, but I never owned them to confirm.
compl3x
I'd say at least 5%. I don't think 10% is too exaggerated, to be honest. Maybe 5%, that is half what you originally said, so I think you were exaggerating a little bit. Here is a video I did of mine: You can see it is slight, but it is there.
