isus
Righteous. What school? university of maryland, baltimore county... ranked pretty high among science/computer/math colleges. since i want to be a computer sciences major and become a computer programmer, it makes sense ;) the campus is beautiful, everything is close to baltimore and annapolis, but i am still close enough to be near friends and family... :ninja: family is good because they have already offered to come over once in a while and take me out to dinner :ninja:
artichokee
So far... Accepted to one of my 'fallback' colleges (California State University: Fresno) $100 from my grandma on my mom's side $50 from my grandma on my dad's side Then whatever I open in my gifts tomorrow...and I'm going to treat myself later on. I didn't really expect much this year when my family problems grew worse, all I cared was that we would stay together and keep everything the same, but there is no outcome to those problems yet. X-Spyder
Hmm, I think it's neat to see what folks are getting. Though I do wonder who is "getting" or giving to themselves. For me it's mostly giving to myself and my wife (as it's her stuff to play with too and she really does). I am not sure what little neat things my mother has gotten me yet, though usually it's nothing expensive. I got her RotK and a DVD player this year. Otherwise I don't get anything from anyone else. Too old for it. Here's what I got for myself: 1. Hitachi 57G500 57" Digital Projection TV 2. HP 945 Digital Camera 3. Dungeons and Dragons Miniature terrain stuff 4. Soyo Wireless-G router and PCMCIA card 5. Icon laptop case 6. Some DnD books 7. XFX Geforce 5900 8. Honestly I will mostly enjoy my kids getting some things I have been planning for a while (neither is older than 3) X

ozgeek
Gift-giving is the process (in my opinion) to show that the giver loves and cares for the receiver.By the way, the first present I got was from my older sister. She've got me a new steering wheel cover and some car wash kit and air refresher for the car. Currently waiting to visit my parents sooner on (it's 2pm xmas day as I post this). I will post back what I got from them. Ok I'm back! Mum have given yet another item for my car! Red/maroon car seat covers. I've expected something about computers like a new digital camera as I told them I've wanted one but no  But I had a good time at my parents place. We had xmas dinner and drinks. I was very tired so I came home around 7.30pm to go to bed.

Chicane-UK Veteran Posted December 25, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 25, 2003 I got.. Some cool t-shirts, Indiana Jones DVD Box Set, Italian Job DVD, A silly little gadget radio control submarine!, Simspons Monopoly, And just some assorted little bits and pieces. Not the most amazing xmas ever, but I was happier to be giving out my presents to be honest. And having just treated myself to 1GB of RAM for my PC the other day, I felt I had enough :D
liar2
I've opened one gift so far for christmas eve, and I got a shirt and some pajama pants. I'm not going to complain about what I get this year because I didn't want anything to begin with. The only thing I could possibly ask for is a second chance with my ex girlfriend.... seeing how miserable she is with her new boyfriend. I've got a few gifts under the tree, but I don't really care. It still doesn't even feel like christmas. The actual feeling doesn't seem to exist this year, even though everything else is there. Ehh. I just hope everything else works out
Flasher
Reading all this you just realize that all those presents don't mean nothing, the most precious thing is to be happy with your family... If you didn't got nothing for Christmas, don't be sad, just think about what you already have, a family, a home and everything else doesn't matter! PS: (to the guy who started this topic): i hate people like you!
bayrider
man.. to that first kid who started this thread. That f$#%ed. If i told my parents this christmas was a sh!tty year for gifts, i would have my ass beaten and thrown out of the house. Even if my dad gave me a pile of sh!t wrapped in a bow tie id still thank him for such a wonderful present. I really hope u have fun with ur gifts. If i were your parents id break them and throw them at ur face ;)
.....
I got ?150, a couple of games, and some clothes, which is way more than I ever expected. Usually I only get ?80, or maybe a game or two. I felt spoilt this year with what I got. You got way too much, especially for someone your age, and you weren't happy with it!?
