Iguana
I'm getting a brand new 14" iBook on Dec. 27. 640MB RAM, 60GB HD, 1 GHz PPC G4, etc. The total comes to $1534. Is that a good buy? My first Mac, a 15" PowerBook came from eBay, and it broke about a week ago when my girlfriend dropped it. I don't have AppleCare on it, so I would rather just buy something new than fix the old one. I know everyone reccomends getting the 12" rather than the 14", but I saw both at my local Apple Store, and the 12" is way too small. As for PowerBooks, well I just can't afford one right now.
xxdesmus
that's a pretty decent price ;)

Tim Dorr Veteran Posted December 25, 2003 Veteran Share Posted December 25, 2003 The 14" doesn't get you any extra resolution, so you'll get larger pixels with it. Personally, I like the 12" just for this reason. Other than that reason, I'd get it. It should do you good :)
Iguana
Thank your for the advice, tim. I'm looking on eBay as well, but most of the time, people don't have AppleCare on the Powerbooks/iBooks they sell on eBay.
