Right Click Taskbar > Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize > Set Number of Programs on Start Menu to 0, Clear List, Uncheck Internet and E-mail.

That will do it temporarly for you, until you start to run programs... Then it will put stuff back in the list...

*shrug* that's as close as I can get...

Dear William Gates,

I am sorry to inform you that your past subscriptions to Playgirl, How To Cheat Partners, & Studly Bears has expired. Please send check or money order for $149.99 to the address on the back of this card to make sure you don't miss out on next months issues, including a free How To Cheat Partners Un-Official Guide To Putting Your Ex-Partner Out of Business.

P.S. Get rid of the lame recent programs menu and move the All Programs over to the right so people won't whine about it on Neowin Bulletin Boards.

Regards,

Marv Albert

In Tweak UI for XP under Taskbar, XP Start Menu you can uncheck all frequently used programs.

This will force it better than doing it via: Right Click Taskbar > Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize > Set Number of Programs on Start Menu to 0.

One other thing... Running TweakUI grouping tasks on the taskbar is handled much better too.
