FrAxElAnK
I have been looking all over for a gamecube component video cable, but to no avail. Does anyone out there know where I can get one? I don't care who it is made by. I just need one!!!
topher1078
You can buy them only on Nintendo's site.
FrAxElAnK
they are on backorder untill mid january. i'd like to not have to wait that long. :)
xRKx
Pelican Accessories also makes a component video cable for the Gamecube - at about half the price of Nintendo's. Good luck in actually -finding- it anywhere offline or online though. It's usually back-ordered even more than Nintendo's cable.
Thrax
Try import shops. Nintendo of America forces consumers to purchase the component video direct from them, but Nintendo Company Ltd. doesn't. Starman
I looked all over central Jersey today for one. Nobody sells them outside Nintendo which makes ZERO sense to me. Even Monster, one of the best third-party cable providers, didn't have one. Mike

divinatum
i think more tv's that are low end and cheap are coming with the component video inputs.. im getting a new tv soon and its 160.. has all the inputs i need, component, svideo, rca, coax... nice little unit.. component may takeover svideo and rca soon. ;)
Sekyal
Nintendo is so clueless about component video. Why they won't license it to be sold is beyond me. Since it isn't readily available in stores, it gives the impression that GC can't do high quality video, but it can. Nintendo just chooses not to show off I guess. It is true though that even if lower end tv's have component video inputs like mine does, there really isn't much advantage unless your tv is HDTV. Thrax
Hmmm... Maybe that's why the 'Cube is doing better in Japan than it is in the rest of the world.
Starman
Hehe. Good ol' Lik Sang. :D. Maybe I'll order a thing or two from them with the cable. Mike
FrAxElAnK
Indeed, I just got a 27" flat screen tv with component inputs and got all but my cube hooked up. come on nintendo.....
threetonesun
Did anyone check Best Buy (if you have one near you). I got a new Cube cable there, and the guy said they had tons in the back. including component ones. If not, then just Lik-Sang it, or any other online shop. Thrax
Wait a second... Starman, you, of all people, don't have a GameCube component video cable? I figured you would have ordered one direct from Nintendo of America before the 'Cube was even released. I got mine a few months ago (from NOA) when I ordered a TV set with a component video input. And that Best Buy employee is indeed wrong. Nintendo of America does not sell GameCube component (or even S-) video cables to retailers.
