Event viewer logs.

First

Activation of app Microsoft.WindowsCalculator_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0xc0eb0003 See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.
 
Second
Unable to start a DCOM Server: App.AppX925nj842ef7p4yze5n55c6qy1ka00grz.mca as Unavailable/Unavailable. Have you tried the aforementioned troubleshooter which I posted three years ago?

 

What build and what troubleshooting steps have you done?

had that happen on two differnt machines before.

 

one time, powershell command like "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}"

allowed to reinstall all standard metro apps, that worked.

Second time, nothing worked, even PC reset. had to reinstall from scratch.

 

Once MS metro breaks, it breaks, sometimes there is nothing that can be done.
