From what I have read, MS is allowing people to have updates until October next year, on Windows 10 as long as they link their MS account and use some back up app.
Not sure what MS gets out of this apart from data.
The reason they give for having Windows 11 don't really get me going. In fact, a couple of them put me off, the New AI-powered features: and the ui for a start.
i am certainly not going to link my PC with an MS account just to get updates, I may look at sticking a LTSC version on my PC.
Updating my PC will cost about £400, not sure if it is worth it just to play a few games, if it was my main machine then maybe, but I am a Mc user these days,.
what you call "vocal minority" its still have more userbase, even for IT pro and tech support w11 its a pain, receive calls because things have moved, things are worse than before, options that should be there day 1 its not there, things that used to be 1 click now its 2 or 3 so on and so for. When you change something for the sake of it without giving any options without proving any improvement its just bad. and that is usability alone. Now lets not talk about the bugs, instability and updates breaking stuff more frequent, if you ask people rather stay at 10 than move to 11 just to not deal with the problems it can potentially cause. dont fix what its not broken
