Mindovermaster Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2015 I accidentally formatted my 1.5TB DVD Library. They were all backups, so really, nothing lost. Is there a program that I can get this stuff back? I remember using Recuva in Windows a while ago, but is there a Linux port? Or any other app? n_K
What filesystem was it? How did you erase it? Is it an SSD or HDD?
+BudMan MVC Posted September 2, 2015 MVC Share Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) if you have it backed up, then just restore it. How do you accidentally format the wrong thing - were you drinking? What other excuse would there be?
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted September 2, 2015 Author Moderator Share Posted September 2, 2015 It was ntfs filesystem. I think I used DD on the wrong partition.... It was on a HDD, but how the F would that matter? I can just re-do it all, but I don't necissarily want to put 100 DVD's back on there again... One by one... If there is anyway to save it, I'd be grateful.
