Mini-iPod and iLife update

Recommended Posts

i've been told a perfect solution for dolts like you. look for a nearest wall, apoach it at the fastest speed, don't stop, keep going, repeat as nessesary. if that doesn't work, i've been told that humping a pine tree will, you might want to try that.

just becuase 2 of you droped your ipods and you think nothing happened to it doesn't mean it's indestructable. i can show you 100s of instances where people dropped their crapod and it stopped working or had major damage.

WOW! what an indisputable fact! everybody in the world will instanstly realize that battaries in ipod will work forever :x

if battary in ipod wasn't an issue Apple wouldn't initiate replacement warranty and there wouldn't be countless shops out there that will replace battary for retardedly high price that only apple-fanboys would pay.

but you will carry a LAPTOP with you just to have more music choices

while you are limited to your 40gig+laptop to carry around, i have unlimited extendability.

you don't need to worry how much money i have. just know that i have more than your sorry ass will ever see. if i wanted to waste $400 on a toy that will be absolete a year from now, i would've bought ipod, alas i have something that will last me for years to come.

zachman123, Rio players are absolute crud. it's same company as SonicBlue, which used to be Diamond MultiMedia. the only company that has worse support is iomega. look at cnet and other reviews.. iRiver makes the best mp3 players. yes, even better than ipod

Just... stop posting, you're making yourself look like a bigger idiot.

Did the little boy get angry? Guess he must've broken his piggy bank.

I'm just going to make one argument that will refute you're entire post:

You make a performative contradiction when you tell the readers at the bottom of you're post to look at cNet for reviews on good players. If you go to cNet, you will see that their editors still contend that the iPod is the best MP3 Player out there.

But even if the people on this board don't buy that analysis, here is another chunk of info that you should digest.

1) I don't care about other people, when I dropped my iPod, it continued to work. I'm not claiming it to be indestructable, but its not exactly something that needs a "fragile" sticker on it.

2) The reason Apple initiated a battery replacement plan was because there was no way for the user to replace their battery without voiding the warrenty.

3) I don't need to stoop to you're materialistic level and show you how much money I have to prove that "I'm better than you". You can have all the money in the world but still be the ###### that you are.

And with all the riches you claim to have, go buy yourself an education. I would tell you to buy friends, but sorry, there are some things that money, and even a MasterCard won't buy.

PS: For a starter to your education, read my signature: Don't EVER confront me.

*avoids flames* :pinch:

well i wouldnt turn down an ipod at the given oppurtunity but my Minidisc NetMD is fine for me..

I really wanna get one of these miniPods, but I already have a MiniDisc player too. Not NetMD though...

My MD player's a bit of a hassle. It takes the same amount of time to record a CD as it does to play the same CD. Also, whenever I want to put some MP3s on to a MiniDisc, I have to burn them on to a CD first.

This miniPod would be much faster and convienet. How much will they cost in Britain? ?65 I thought I heard someone mention...:

Die. Please die. The world will be a much better place. The more you post, the more it shows what kind of imbecile you are. Talk about someone's head up his ass. Looks like the only one having an ego trip here is you, because it seems our replies hurt you a lot ? otherwise your responses wouldn't be so furious. It just makes me laugh more at your sorry attempts at speaking English.:D:D

I agree, MiniDiscs are cool, I still have my old MD recorder (Sharp MD-702 or so). They're small and fit over 5 hours of music on a single disc. Plus you can record on the go right on your portable recorder.

Wow dude, seems like you can't make an educational statement. You just choose to ruin the disursive purpose of this board by resorting to Ad-Hominem attacks on others, is that the best you can do?

Bring it on boy, I ain't backin' down.

<--DO NOT FLAME BEYOND THIS POINT-->

iPods are pretty. :D Since I don't have a giant library of MP3s, I just use my Pocket PC (Axim X3i) and Pocket WMP to listen to music if I feel like it. :)

I was trying to order the Axim x3i today, but Dell screwed up my Dell Preferred Account. On the phone they said they fixed it but it will take 48 hours for the system to update before I can order again. I want to order it already! :pinch:

I would be really interested if it wasn't for the fact I own two iPods already. BTW, your nick just reminded me of Chicane's Saltwater ? I've been absolutely in love with that track for over 2 years now.:ninja:a: Maybe one day I'll write a song as good as that.:shifty:y:

This is great!

I was thinking of getting an iPod but the price was to high plus I didn't need 10 gigs or whatever the current size is now.

I think its cool that they are going away with the white and will have various colors, plus at $100 USD is a really good price. Hope the Apple Store here will carry them when they first come out.

Yeah, kinda being retro introducing colors...just hope they aren't "fruity", lol. A black front with a gold back would be a nice contrast to the current white/silver though. :D

Those are MP3 CD Players that Cnet reviewed. Yes, the iRiver IMP-550 got #1, but if you dont already know, Apple only makes hard-drive players. That is a pointless comparison.

If you want hdd players reviewed, here is the link: http://reviews.cnet.com/4502-6497_7-0.html...derby=-7eRating

Hmm...lets see..

1. iPod 40gb

2. Creative Nomad Jukebox 3 (20gb)

3. iPod 20gb

4. Rio Karma

5. iRiver IHP-120

One of the articles mentioned that there would be new colorful cases for the existing "big" iPods, as opposed to making the iPods themeslves colorful... interesting... that would make more sense from a marketing standpoint because a.) People would start returning iPods they bought for Christmas and exchanging them for new colored ones, and b.) Apple wouldn't have to manufacture 20 different-colored sub-breeds of iPods (costs $$$).

mini iPod would be awesome, a lot of my friends wanted to get the iPod but 20GB is overkill for them.

edit: oh yes, iRiver has some cool flash-based mp3 players! and the IHP120 is pretty awesome feature-wise, but MP3 CD player is really :x , they should just die like cassette player imo.

but retards altus and nspeds are claiming that all iRiver players are ****..

Be fair, that is NOT what they said.

Their arguement was that for them, HDD based players suited them more than CD based MP3 players in terms of portability.

YOU maid the claim the iRiver CD MP3 was the best, referring to cNets reviews for how good iRiver products are.

I agree, iRiver is a great brand, and I am glad they are around to give apple some competition (better for us consumers!), but according to cNet, the iPod got a 9, and your iRiver an 8.7. Any comments on that?
