Bain
Alright you all, I remember a little while back reading somewhere about how to get rid of the Windows File Protection on Windows XP and I've since forgotten how to do it, DOH! I know this was done through gpedit.msc but I don't recall where it is to go to get rid of the file protection and god knows I could be searching forever through that little tool. If anyone happens to know how to get rid of the file protection that would be great. Thanks!
fr33k
what are you trying to stop it from protecting? I don't think you can just turn it off.
kingzagz
While I don't recommend disabling it, you can do so by downloading a program called X-Setup.
hurting101
...or you can temporarily disable it by going into recovery console or safe mode...
