They are all rumours, but this is the next games as teh domain was bought buy Rockstar

Alot of game companies do that before the next game, they register several domains so it just aint andreas. But nothing has been released fully official yet so we have to wait.

San Andreas is the last city to be used from the original GTA, it only follows that they should use that name for the upcoming 3D game.

As for hard drive support, again, complete speculation. Rockstar play things very close to home these days, so that was probably some silly site's *cough*gamespot*cough* attempt at building the hype and rumour mongering.

Cant wait tho, its bound to be good.

Yeah, I'm not a huge gamer to be honest, but if this doesn't require a hard drive, then I'll buy it on the release day! The GTA series is the only thing that has really captured me. I can easily wait for other games and not be too fussed.

Damn right it would! That'd be classic, but I can see them sticking to the original citys, and it's what I would do personally aswell. Then perhaps move onto Vegas.

If this game doesnt need a hard drive to play, I'm gonna be pre-ordering mine! :woot:

I wonder if they'll put some sort of multiplayer thing on this one.

i would buy this game irrespective of whether it needed a hard drive. anyway, are these hard drives out yet? how much do/will they cost?

I beleive they are out, at about ?80. I'm not paying ?120 to play a game. I'd rather upgrade my PC and buy it for that.

No they are not out yet. They will be out in march, and I get one free! Go Me!

How: I Beta Tested Final Fantasy XI for PS2 and they give you a free one along with teh game and I think a 1 year subscription to FFXI

That'd be an import HDD, must be.

It'll be the same version when it is officially released over here, but without a great deal of HD support - there really isnt any need.

DMS3 mod chips have just received HD support, so you can play emulators etc from a bog standard 'newish 40gig+ drive' or so the site says, which Im going to try once I get my front room sorted out a bit more, and once they get their flash's sorted out and relatively bug free.

Good thing PC's and XBOX's have HDD's..

don't get me wrong - ps2's are still awesome.. I really doubt they'll force you to buy new - potentially expensive hardware for this best selling game.

FFXI comes with a HDD on Euro release, it wouldnt be too much of a surprise if the new GTA supported it.

Its still speculation as to whether it would be HDD dependent tho.

Time will tell I guess.

The one thing about GTA I really like is playing w/o an objective. I'd like them to add some quasi country-side scenery which would be really cool when you go purposefully go on a crime spree to get away from the cops. Driving on fields and dirt roads would rock!
