If you've been thinking of buying an Xbox One in the UK - perhaps as a Christmas gift for that special gamer in your life - now might be a good time to get the credit card out. The 1TB version of the console is now available with £50 off, as well as coming with a free game, and a couple of other time-limited freebies.
The 1TB Xbox One is usually priced at £349.99, but you can currently buy it from the Microsoft Store for £299.99, including a 'free game'. The store listing for the console is pretty unhelpful in that the page fails to give any hint of which title is included in that deal - but Microsoft's online support staff have clarified that the free game is Halo 5: Guardians, which the company usually sells for £44.99.
Along with the £50 savings and the free game, you'll also get a free one-month subscription to the EA Access gaming service, and a 14-day trial of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold subscription, as well as a 40% discount if you choose to extend the latter for a further three months.
At the discounted price of £299.99, the 1TB Xbox One currently costs the same as the 500GB model, but that won't last forever - the promotional offer is due to end on November 5.
