Sharks

Recommended Posts

I have a HUGE fear of Sharks but I am willing to risk my life skydiving, jumping off buildings , stunting, etc.. but I will NEVER go near Salt Water.

Is it true that their are Fresh Water Sharks and if so I heard a rumor back in like 1900's there was a huge ass shark caught in the Potomac River.. (Virginia, USA).. Is that true.

Thanks

yes maybe its the thought of being eaten alive or something. but you shouldnt worry about sharks, if you get bitten or attacked by a shark, you were asking for it.

Grew up swimming in the ocean and back bay, never see em close onshore, but people catch hammerheads, tigersharks and the like as close as a mile out and sometimes in the bay.

It all depends on how the fish they feed on are running, but its been decades since anyone was bitten here.

@Rad..you swore you would use your powers for good only man tsk..tsk :p

well were i live (on the gulf of mexico) there are always sharks on the coast, but if you don't bother them, they wont bother you. so im not very scared of them, but im not going to swim if i can see them :)

2 summers ago a kit got his arm bit off, and his dad got the shark and got his arm back, and the put it back on, he lived too.

That's a dumb ass thing..

About that kid who's arm got bit off and his uncle rescued him then wrestled it to the shore and shot in the head with a pistol.

Well for your information they were SHARK FISHING off the PIER that was maybe 300 feet and matter of fact they let the kid go in the water so then the bullshark which can kill someone in knee deep bit his arm off.. They were putting meat into the water I mean christ I don't care if my uncle rescued me.. oh boy.

Errr....not really. It means that you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I surf on a regular basis and have been fortunate in that I have not encountered the man in the grey suit. :(

well duh, alex...anyone who lets their kid in the water after dumping meat in it is asking for trouble

i'm not afraid of sharks, but then i don't go swimming in the ocean. i LOVE shark week on animal planet!

according to the FHM, if you ever see a shark, the best thing to do is stay still and punch it square in the nose. (really). sharks are most sensitive in the nose, so if it is hit there, the shark would think twice about taking a chomp out of you.

...or, you could carry a bat next time you're swimming/surfing and look like a 'tard :shifty:
