Mandrake 9.2 troubles

Recommended Posts

My ~# key doesn't work in mandrake 9.2, but works fine in RedHat/Fedora. I can't find out why. It is a UK keyboard from logitech. Both Distro's are configured the same as a PC105 keyboard. Can anyone help with this?

Also, fonts in Fedora & WinXP look excellent on my LCD monitor, but in mandrake they are no where near as good. I have enabled Gnome's & KDE's sub-pixel settings and enabled anti-aliasing, but the fonts still look jagged and not as smooth. Can anyone help with this?

Thanks, and happy new year!!!

Be sure to press the custom button for graphics when it allows you to configure everything before completing installation (such as your network adapter and such). Then, in graphics, select the correct monitor. You may also change monitor settings by going into the KDE control panel thing. Note: before going into control panel, log in as root.
