suprfli
i've been running win2k for quite a while now and i could've sworn i've used msconfig on this machine before but when i went to use it recently it said the file wasn't found. i searched my windows dir but there's no msconfig file. i have no idea why it isn't there but thought someone might have an idea what happened to it or why it wasn't installed and wher ei can get it. TIA.

grimman
win2k never had an msconfig... just fyi =) but the win98 and winxp msconfigs work just as well... and i prefer the win98 one. edit: there's a file named STARTUP.CPL (i think it's available from this site) which does all you'd expect from msconfig. tis nicer and smaller. that's the one i use. Steven
Get A Copy Of MSCONFIG From An XP(Home/Professional) Machine, and copy it to your windowssystem32 directory, its 2 files the exe, and a help file, when placing it into that directory, windows will execute msconfig from "RUN", since the path is usally the windows folder and subfolders.
