FAKE Mockup of Flash Based iPod

Recommended Posts

ITs fake and i made it. i just wanted to see what you thought. again, its not real. This is a fake picture. This is Fake. Once again, it is Fake.

This is a fake picture that i made. What do you think? I think it would be cool if a new mini ipod was made like this so it could be a part of the current ipod, and when turned off, could simply function as a remote to the Harddrive iPod. users could put little SD cards up to 1GB into this thing and trade music in and out between the iPod, and the minipod. The main use could be the gym, for example.

the screen doesnt gel with the current 3G Ipods. Font also looks odd.

But your idea sound interesting. That way it wont eat into the sales of the current Ipods. Lets just wait and watch its only a matter of couple of days.

mhmmmmmmm

I hate to sound obvious but the FAKE label was more than quite obvious

1 gig is a little small unless they support OGG or some crazy new super small format

and yes that is an extended version of the remote as an ipod

ok?

Well, it isa mini iPod, which coupled with the full one would have easily enough space.

You'd have to put the patented scroll wheel in there. It would be such a terrible waste if Apple hadn't put their trademark piece of innovation on the mini iPod.

I think the MiniPod will be a real unit. Not just a remote extension or a flash-based player. HD-based is the iPod's claim to fame. Large storage, small unit. HD-based is also pretty cheap in comparison to flash-based.

Holy cow... is that thing for real? Looks awesome! I sure hope it's real. Cause it looks really promising if it is for real. Looks real!

I'm still waiting for the makers of portable electronics to realize that wires suck.

It should be Bluetooth all the way :)

So if this thingy was wireless, it would be cool.

1gb sd cards?then the price on the iPod would go way up, even more then some current models that have bigger storage.

You still have the issue of charging with wires, and even though there would be less to transfer due to the fact that this unit can only hold so much (if the rumor is true), it would probably still require a faster connection than Bluetooth. Maybe WiFi would be a better option, but FireWire or USB is still tops.

Edit: Lol, Rocks. It's getting there, but I still don't like the idea of the remote. I just don't think that'll happen. We have a remote. We don't need another one.

bluetooth? oh please that is so slow. leave it to mice/keyboards and cell phones. And WiFi would take up too much power to be useable in anything portable.

Is a laptop portable? Do laptops normally have WiFi? The WiFi card would only have to operate for a few seconds or minutes. Then it shuts off, taking no more power until it's requested again. But still, you'd have some cord so why not just go all cord? I can understand for phones, syncing on the go, but music doesn't need to be synced every second.

wifi would be good, look at the Sony Clie UX50, it has wifi and bluetooth built in and still manage to have a pretty decent battery life.

and rocks, you forgot a few buttons - menu, skip etc..

Can you all tell me what you think? Would it be considered rude of me to start a new topic with the same kinda title except this time i would call it "FAKE Concept of Mini iPod". Because I want to show off a new FAKE concept design that I created that once again, has nothing to do with Apple Computer in any way.

why don't you just post it here?! and for god's sake, stop saying "it has nothing to do with Apple"!! you made it very clear right at the beginning and the quality of your mockup really says it all.

That is...last time I posted the thread name..."Apple iTablet Concept". Doesn't that mean its something that I made? anyway...like i said people got really ****ed off because some people thought it was real ...even though i had used the word "CONCEPT" in the Title of the thread and all i wanted to do was ignite some discussion or ideas not necissarily on Apple creating a tablet themself, but how make tablet PC's better, because everyone knows that Apple's Mac OS X User Interface would work better on a Tablet PC than any other UI. And this is coming from me, an owner of a Toshiba Portege Tablet PC.
