You turned it off while it was flashing?

NOOB! If you didnt know how to flash it, you shouldnt be flashing it in the first place! When flashing ANY device, from your video card to your toaster to your damn console, you never ever EVER turn off the device. Even if your house is falling due to an earthquake, make sure to secure it under a table as its flashing so once your house is down, at least you have an xbox!

Danrarbc641 is right.. Unless you're deathly lucky, you have yourself a nice doorstop there. I sincerely hope you get it fixed ($200 down the drain isn't fun for anyone), but I'm fairly certain you wont. Good luck anyway.

And we hate you becuz u talk lyk dis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111oneoneonoenone

Oh, and also because you're clearly too stupid to do anything related to hardware, and yet you keep trying. Breaking the mobo was a mistake. Breaking the iPod was negligence. Breaking the xbox was just plain stupidity. Please do yourself a favor and do not touch a piece of hardware ever again.

if you opened up the console, make it look untouched. And then go back to the store that you got it and like the N00B that you are, explain to them that you just fired up the console and it doesn't do anything when you plug it all in, say that you know absolutely nothing about modchips if they ask you if you modded it, because obviously you don't know anything about them and ask like a n00b for any simular questions because you are one.

If they say that you must of plugged it in incorrectly, get them to test it, and when it doesn't work, ask for a replacement. Then get someone that knows what they are doing to mod it.

ok ok im sorry....but i wanted to use Bundy for something today lol.

anyhow...yea that is defintely not cool...have u thought about replacing the BIOS chip itself??

i know that regular PC's u can do that in..not sure about XBOX..but then again...its like a mini-PC....look into it or call Micro$oft (if u dare bwahahaha) and maybe they can sell u a replacement or maybe even freebee it to u.

worth a try!

man if i could i would but i cant cos they are so cool

you trashed a mobo, an ipod and an xbox? just stop! some of us here would kill for a new mobo or ipod or xbox and you just go ahead and wreck yours. it's obvious you're not cut out for this sort of work.

I'm not siding with anyone here grimreaper, nor am I trying to attack you, but everyone in this thread has a point. You never turn off a device whilst it's flashing, never ever, even if it hangs (that's at times quite normal). You mentioned that you've now broken three expensive devices within one month, take it as a hint and step away from the BIOS flashing scene for a while, until you really have an understanding of what you're doing or have someone around who does (and preferably has taken the helm with flashing the BIOS of whatever device you wanted flashed).

damn :( i wanna die now. :pinch:

Easy tiger! People are just being pricks (namely HellBender). Seriously though, go masturbate or something and get your mind off the XBox and all the other **** that happened this past month. Then go on to that mod chip store you spoke of and get yourself some good luck!

You owe me 2 cents for this post :).

geez ok you need to use the programmer. if you have a pro you dont have to buy an external programmer. it's the thing that connects your modchip to the printer port on your comp. if you have a lite, you do. it's like $15. use x2 bios manager, to flash your chip. it's the same idea of flashing but without burning to cd. 1mg bios. i think it's erase and then flash. or might be just flash. i'm not exact because i've never needed to use it. but that should work. not too hard to fix

*update* what i told you up there was basically the pro flash. if you need to flash a lite here's a tutorial

To answer your question, what you would do to fix it depends on what chip you have, if it's an Xecuter 2 Lite for example you either need to do a hot swap with someone who has a modified Xbox or buy a programmer, if you have an Xecuter 2 Pro it already has an external parallel port that you can program it with, of course you could have any number of other types of chips, in any case every situation can be fixed one way or another unless you had a TSOP flash and you screwed that up, in that case it's very unlikely you'll be able to fix it yourself.

I can't believe the amount of BS in this thread..

1) if Xbox hangs while flashing a new BIOS there's nothing else you can do but to boot it...and hope for the best unless you want to sit there staring at the flash screen. It really isn't that interesting

2) if it hung because of a hardware failure, you are truly unlucky and there's nothing anyone could have done differently

3) most likely fixing the xbox will be quite simple, at a modchip store at least. Pull the modchip out, reflash it with a programmer (or hotswap the bios and then reflash it)
