Who hates having a cold?

I do!!!

I have a massive headache, totally blocked nose, and my eyes keep watering (which hurts!!!!). The eyes watering just takes the ****! It's definitely the worst part of having a cold!!

I love not being able to breathe, having a runny nose, sore throat, headache, and tierd eyes. Cant wait till next time i have a cold.

On a serious note, hope you start feeling better soon, remember that Ice cream is good for a sore throat!

Yeah, I love colds too. They freaking rock.

Agreed. Nothing makes you feel more alive than the feeling you get when you have a cold.

The soreness, just magnificent.

The runny nose, genius!

The coughing is overwhelmingly soothing.

The aching and the groginess is something I look forward to every day I have that wonderful cold. :D

Wtf kind of question is "Who hates having a cold?"

 Worth a repeat, to counter colds ...

Small sips of orange juice thru the day.

Avoid milk, cheese, dairy stuff.

Wash your hands before eating.

If you are a smoker, QUIT.

And try to spend a few minutes outdoors breathing some fresh air.

And remember, colds are a part of the body's natural cleaning out process. An ocassional cold helps to prevent far more serious diseases.

people get colds because they are sissies. no, seriously...

if you kept your immune system on it's toes a little more, you wouldn't get colds, infections, or anything else.

Indeed. People need to toughen up. My parents were real hard asses. If I felt bad, I still went to school. If I was sick, i was told to take some asprin or something and walk it off.

I don't get sick often now... who knows...

That doesn't make your immune system any better. What does make your immune system better is exposure to these 'bugs' when you're young. If your parents are total clean freaks, then you're twice as likely to get sick twice as often when you're an adult.

So true, thats the problem with modern society. Everything has to be clean, clean, clean. Too many people dont get dirty, too many people spray disinfectant everywhere and never expose themself to anything.

The more exposure you have to germs then the more immune you get. Your immune system has a permanent memory. As soon as you infect yourself with somthing and your immune system kills it then it builds a memory, so next time you are ready to fight it. If you dont expose yourself to anything then your immune system doesnt develop and you end up getting sick all the time.

When you go for an injection, they actually inject the disease into your blood stream with some anti bodies and your immune system destorys it. From then on your body remembers how to kill that particular disease, so next time instead of learning how to fight the disease, your body already knows and your are far less likely to get sick from it.

Of course now that I've said that, dont go out and drink sewage, because thats not how it works. Just dont be as afraid of not being squeaky clean all the time, dotn be dirty, but dont be overclean either.

Don't let that stop you from getting an injection, tho - the disease is always modified, broken, or dead - so you won't get infected by what's injected into you. ;)
