Xbox Problem

Recommended Posts

I got my Xbox for christmas. i took it to texas with me for the week and 2 days ago i was just playing a game of ESPN NHL Hockey, and the POS turns off. i tried to turn it back on and it

turns on for 2 or 3 seconds

turns off

turns on for 2 or 3 seconds

turns off

the drive then turns back on and the light on the front flashes back and forth between green and red and nothing happens on the screen. I can not eject the game either.

Now, I have done NOTHING to this machine. i have not opened the case or modded it in any way. i just wanted to play a game of hockey. i have never had a major problem with a video game system in my gaming career and now i get an Xbox, which i swore i would never do, and it crashes in the first ****ing week. . nintendo is so much better than this BS.

anyone know what flashing green and red mean?

That usually happens if the mod becomes mis-alligned, you sure it aint modded? look at the stickers on the bottom of it for any signs of tampering

if it was new you could just return it

Well, basically, it's a PC. So almost any of the normal "PC" problems can be the cause.

However, since it is a new game....

Bring it back and exchange for new!

yeah that was part of the reason i never got one, because it wasnt really a console. the only reason i got this one was because they stopped making sega sports games for gamecube and i didnt want to play sports games with the playstation cxontroller. i had a feeling something like this would happen, i hate that i was right though.
