unimatrixzer0
ermm, besides the phantasystar whatever are there any other online games for gamecube, future or present? I've heard there are some but that they only work if you have the gamecubes networked on your local LAN or something. No true online games? dheaddy
Ninty's not interested with true online gaming for the gamecube because they don't think it's possible to implement it properly :( Splinter Cell 2 will have some kind of online capability which hasn't been disclosed. You can play LAN enabled games online using a broadband adaptor and the 3rd party WarpPipe software, which makes the GC think it's connected to a local LAN. It works apparently, if the other person has an adaptor and the software.

Bubbabyte
what's the warpipe thing... cause i have mario kart and i would love to be able to play online... what do you have to purchase to get this GC connected?
dheaddy
according to the warppipe site you need: Warp Pipe Software (PC or MAC) A Nintendo GameCube console A Nintendo GameCube Broadband Adapter A supported game (see below) A FAST broadband connection. You will need at least 128kbps upstream bandwidth for most games, although Kirby Air Ride can require up to 256kbps upstream bandwidth per player in the game. If your connection is not fast enough you WILL experience lag and connection loss problems. No dial-up modem support is available or planned. A supported network configuration. Most types of home networks are supported. Consult the Network Setup section for more details. http://www.warppipe.com/wpdocs/beta/gettingstarted.html
