drgnfire
I've got Windows 2000 Pro installed on several PCs here at work and I'm wondering how I can change the default logon dialog box to something that is a little more 'unique' - I'd love to be able to get rid of the Windows 2000 logo and replace it with another. I've played around with reshacker and although it looked like I could do it from there it just wouldn't work :( Can anyone point me in the right direction - I've seen tools to do this for XP, surely there must be something for 2K as well? TIA Drgnfire
Sleeper Veteran Posted February 7, 2002 Veteran Share Posted February 7, 2002 moddify the file msgina.dll in the system32 folder with what ever images you want, change the text etc etc then save the file as msgina2.dll or something else aslong as it is diiferent to msgina.dll in the system32 folder. then launch regedit and add a new string under the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogon new string - GinaDll and set its value to what ever u saved the msgina.dll to. example : GinaDll=Msgnina2.dll Hope this works for you :)
